Spend your Spring Break in the global capital, London, studying Western Civilization or History.

Program

Students will delve into the rich history that London offers via literature, maps, visits to historical sites, and tours of the city. As part of the program, students will have the opportunity to visit some of London’s most important historical sites including: the Museum of London, Westminster Abbey, The Globe Theatre, and many others.

Students choose on the following 3 hour courses to complete:

  • HWC 600: Biography of a City: London
  • HIST 660: Biography of a City: London
  • ARCH 600: Special Topics in Architecture: Biography of a City: London

In addition to the course work abroad, students will meet every Tuesday and Thursday during the spring semester from 1:00 PM-2:15 PM for either a lecture or a discussion.

Accommodations

Students will stay at the Royal National Hotel in the Bloomsbury neighborhood. The rooms are double or triple occupancy and breakfast is provided each morning.

Eligibility

Open to all KU students. Minimum 2.5 GPA required (petitions will be considered for lower GPAs).

Applications are due November 1st and you will be notified if you are accepted on November 15th
