KU is known for its rich traditions, our personal favorite being study abroad. One in every four Jayhawks study abroad at some point during their collegiate career. With programs in over 70 different countries, there is a lot of information to learn about study abroad. Our office wants to help connect you to resources to help you figure out which program is right for you.
One of the best ways to learn about different types of study abroad opportunities is at our Study Abroad Fair! This year the fair will take place on Wednesday September 9th from 10:30 to 3:30 in the Kansas Union. There will be students who studied abroad to share their stories with you and answer any questions you may have. In addition, there will be representatives from other study abroad providers to tell you more about the types of programs they offer.
If you feel unsure about what type of program is the best fit, this is the event for you. Having a conversation with people who have experienced a country first hand can be extremely helpful during the decision-making process. It’s a great opportunity to learn about various types of experience at once.
Can’t make the fair? Come visit the peer advisors in the Info Center (105 Lippincott) for walk-in advising anytime from 9-5, Monday through Friday. We are more than happy to brainstorm and research study abroad opportunities specific to your wants. We love getting to know new students and help them make study abroad a reality. We can’t wait to see you soon!
